During the pandemic, Sandbanks Summer Village Cottages wanted to run an ad campaign to let customers know that not only were they still open for bookings in the summer, but they were also following all the recommended health protocols to ensure the safety of their customers and staff. The messaging used on their search ads was gentle to not necessarily push them to book right away, but to let them know that if they were interested, SSV was ready to welcome them safely to their cottages.
In addition to Google ads, we also used similar messaging on Facebook and promoted ads to their target audience around the area. Aspirational imagery showed families enjoying themselves in the sun, and the tone of the copy was calm and reassuring. The result actually ended in more bookings than they had ever seen, and most importantly, a strong element of trust for the brand!
Sandbanks Summer Village Cottages was eager to tell their customers about reopening after a long few months of being closed due to COVID-19. The goal was to get bookings for cottage rentals to make up for lost revenue, while ensuring that customers would feel safe throughout the entire experience. The campaign ran over the course of three weeks and resulted in increased brand loyalty and web traffic.
Firstly, we customized the sequence so that users would progress through the automation according to their actions taken in the previous email, which ultimately led to increased conversions. In addition, crafting the right message was a top priority: it was important to give the audience all of the information they needed to feel safe and worry-free in booking their vacation. COVID-19 safety protocols were made clear in each email, with links to additional information.

Over the past decade or so, Prince Edward County has quickly become one of Ontario’s premiere vacation destinations, and this has resulted in increased competition for accommodation providers in the area. A targeted SEO strategy was absolutely crucial for Sandbanks Summer Village to ensure their target customers were able to find them online.
Based on our keyword research, we used the most searched and most relevant search queries on specific site pages, including the resort highlights and vacation rental information. We also paired these keywords with Google ads and Google My Business posts to round out the strategy. Not only did this result in SSV showing up when users were looking, but also created a more cohesive user experience that ultimately led to more website users, and many more conversions.
